At Hawkins Scientific, metal laboratory furniture base units are available in a
wide variety of standard and special purpose configurations.
Thus, you can select the combination of drawer and cupboard storage,
as well as the
standing and sitting height for the workspace, that most effectively meets your needs.
Flexibility is the key with Hawkins Scientific
steel casework furniture.
Laboratory furniture
base units are designed on a "building block" concept.
They fit
together perfectly and are easy to install. If your needs change,
they are equally easy to rearrange and add to.
Steel cabinets can also be built with casters for mobility,
or with special suspension or framing systems.
Laboratories are tough
environments. That's why Hawkins Scientific laboratory furniture base units are manufactured with
heavy-gauge, cold-rolled steel rigidly
reinforced with a welded tubular top frame to resist racking.
Steel
casework units are finished inside and out with a baked-on epoxy coating formulated for the laboratory environment.
Conforming strictly to SEFA standard performance requirements for metal laboratory furniture,
you can be sure our steel casework will withstand daily wear and tear and allow for years of
trouble-free use.
Hawkins
Scientific Steel Laboratory Furniture features:
Quality
Drawer Glides
Steel laboratory furniture drawers are provided with a
full extension, ball bearing, plated drawer slide so you can retrieve stored objects–even
those in the very back–easily.
Doors and drawers are easy to remove for cleaning, decontamination or
repair. Hinges, drawer and cabinet bottoms are replaceable. To eliminate a
source of accidents, drawers are constructed so they absolutely can
not fall out. Optional pull out shelves on full extension
glides are also available.
Hinges
For the greatest durability, five knuckle hinges are provided in
Hawkins Scientific steel laboratory furniture.
Handles
Steel Casework handles are available as classic style bale
pull,
or with optional flush handles. Laboratory base units with flush
handles are desirable in tight quarters to prevent lab coats or lab
carts from getting caught. Either style uses the same ruggedly
constructed base unit.
Optional Stainless Steel
In those instances when disinfection is required, Hawkins can supply
you with stainless steel base units.
